We know a lot about machines, but there is one aspect that we still need to understand, which is the working principle of our spot welding machine. So how much do you know about the working principle of spot welding machines? Let's take a look!
The commonly used spot welding machines have three types of welding currents: DC, AC, and pulse. However, the commonly used ones are AC and DC inverter spot welding machines. AC welding machines belong to transformers, but DC inverter welding machines are slightly more complex and mostly use variable frequency control in terms of control.
1. Pressurization: When welding the workpiece, move the welding machine to align the electrode with the welding point, activate the pneumatic switch on the operating handle, open the working air valve, and compressed air enters the pressurization cylinder. The mechanical device drives the welding machine to move and press the electrode against the workpiece. This process is called pressurization, and the process parameters are pressurization time and electrode.
2. Welding: After a certain delay, the thyristor of the crystal valve tube in the controller is connected and opened, and the primary side of the transformer obtains controllable primary current; The secondary side of the transformer generates welding current, which reaches the electrode through the secondary circuit to heat and fuse the workpiece. This process is called welding, and the process parameters are welding current, welding time, and electrode pressure.
